Conquer The World WW2 Tier List

Nation rankings by starting strength, plus the safest picks for a first campaign.

Last updated:

With 200+ playable nations in Conquer The World WW2 (CTWWW2), picking who to play is not a cosmetic choice — starting resources, industrial base, neighbor count, and geographic position all vary wildly, and some nations are dramatically easier to succeed with than others. This hub links our two ranking pages: a full nation tier list ranked by overall starting strength, and a curated list of the best nations specifically for new players.

What our tier list measures

We rank nations primarily by starting economic strength (factories, resources, and manpower), geographic defensibility (number and strength of bordering nations), and how much room the nation has to expand or grow safely before running into a major power. A nation can rank highly on raw strength but still be a poor beginner pick if it starts surrounded by aggressive neighbors, which is why we split rankings into two separate pages rather than one blended list.

Nation Tier List

The Nation Tier List ranks major and mid-tier nations from S-tier down, based on starting industry, resource access, and geopolitical position. This is the page to check if you already know the game and want to pick the objectively strongest nation available in your server.

Best Starter Nations

The Best Starter Nations page is built specifically for players who are still learning the core mechanics — it favors safety and simplicity over raw power, recommending nations with few neighbors and forgiving starting positions even if they would not top a pure strength ranking.

How rankings change over time

Marian_Dev periodically rebalances starting resources, research costs, and diplomatic mechanics, all of which can shift how strong a nation feels to play. Puppet state mechanics and the Missiles & Forts update, for example, both changed how territory and fortifications interact with strategy at a fundamental level. Check the Updates hub if a nation on either list feels noticeably different from what we describe — rankings are reviewed after major balance patches, but a fast-moving Roblox game can shift between full reviews.

Using the tier list well

A tier list is a starting point, not a guarantee. Player skill in managing economy, diplomacy, and warfare usually matters more than which nation you started as, especially in servers with a mix of experienced and new players. Use these rankings to shortlist a few nations that fit your preferred playstyle, then read Major Powers or Small Nation Tips depending on which category you land in.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What makes a nation rank highly on the tier list?

Starting industry and resources, geographic defensibility, and room to expand safely all factor into our rankings.

Is the strongest nation always the best pick for beginners?

No — some strong nations start surrounded by aggressive neighbors, which is why we have a separate Best Starter Nations list focused on safety.

How often is the tier list updated?

We review rankings after major balance patches; check the Updates hub if a ranking seems out of date.

Does player skill matter more than nation choice?

Often yes — strong economy, diplomacy, and warfare decisions can outweigh a weaker starting position.
